A person you made up.

South American football tweeter. Tim spelt his name wrong but I’m sure that’s who he means.

Nicolas Jackson: “When Unai left (Villarreal), he wanted me to go to Aston Villa, but I was injured. I wanted to leave because the coach came in. I had to go, but I was injured a little bit in my hamstring. We went there, they checked & said I needed one more month, but they want me now. I was not ready, so they had to cancel the transfer..” @Football_LDN

I posted the tweet from @edu17burgos. I was kinda playing about the misspelt surname.

I don't understand the Miss Jackson thing. He is on £100K per week at that team with no class. His agent would be looking at a salary of around £150k, which we can't pay. So are we really in for him, or is Monchi playing 3D chess and he has another target in mind?

Maybe he sees that he's surplus to requirements at Chelsea and wants to reunite with the coach who made him into a player worth a big salary?  He hasn't done enough at Chelsea to warrant a 33% payrise either (if indeed hes on >£5m a year now)

I read that Chelsea will want at least twice the £32m they paid for him 2-years ago. I don’t really understand why this would be the case for a player that hasn’t been a resounding success, and they are looking to sell because they’ve basically replaced. Unless the market for strikers is over inflated I suppose? Chelsea’s business model seems to be to hoover-up players to almost create a scarcity.

Agreed. It would be like us asking £60m for Bailey.  Nice if you can get it.

See what you mean, but different age profiles.

You have to admire how Chelsea make a market for their players - even if you hate the club!

Jackson's book value must be something like £24m - but there's no way we're getting him at that price.

Chelsea have an annoying ability to turn a profit on their flops and untested players.  They've played a blinder stockpiling players because fee inflation has been bonkers over recent years.

That Ordonez didn't play for Bruges yesterday.
Not sure if we were actually linked or if whether he was suggested as a good signing.

🚨 NEW: Clubs interested in Nicolas Jackson are being told a loan with obligation may be possible under the right conditions — £10m loan fee.
@JacobsBen
£10m loan fee is way too high, and the wage-demands would push him out of our sphere of interest, I would have thought. I'll be filing this in the same place as the perennial Joao Felix rumours unless there's a fundamental shift in the money-needs of player and Chelsea.

I think he is highly rated and at 21 has room to grow.
