I highly doubt we would want an “obligation” to buy. Unless it was so low that Chelsea would have zero interest.

Perhaps, but in our situation it would feel odd if we were committing a substantial future  outlay on a player. I can’t imagine Chelsea will want it to be any less than £50/60m and it feels pretty unlikely. Maybe I’m wrong though.

I think there’s a good player in Jackson, but not to the extent to commit a substantial amount of guaranteed money towards.
