Looks a unit for 19.

He's a good player, Tall quick and tidy on the ball, I honestly think with a season breaking in slowly he could replace Konsa long term. He can also play midfield like Kamara too.

All our other 19 yr old CBs are not cutting it are they? Ie Kerr, Josh, Swinkles etc

I think if a player at 19 hasn't had a single minute of game time for the first team its unlikely they will.
I know center backs are a bit different to attacking youngsters but I cant see any of them breaking into the team.

It is my one criticism of Unai, I wish he would give youth a bit more of a chance especially in games that should be a given in cups and europe if possible.

They've got to show him in training first. There should be some opportunities there for them this season in the EL.

Akanji from Man City might be available. Can play right centre back and right back. 30 so getting on but I always think defenders can last a couple of years longer.

Matt Law suggesting we are in for Jackson but financially complicated. Obviously

🚨 Aston Villa remain adamant that Ollie Watkins will not be sold to accommodate a new signing. Emery ideally wants to add another dimension to his attack with a player who can play alongside Watkins or in another position slightly behind him.

Not sure there are many 19/20 year centre backs playing in top 6/7 sides in the PL…loans are their development route.

Still slightly annoyed we didn’t take the Bournemouth, now Real Madrid, centre-back as part of the Dougie deal.

Don’t fancy “alongside” much, but in behind makes sense. We need quality and numbers.

Bailey,
Ramsey
Dendoncker
Coutinho
Hause
KKH
Ned
Olsen
Barrenechea

We're clearing the decks, so we can work out exactly what we've got left in the kitty for new players - either permanent signings or on loan.

Who's left - Moreno?

Bringing newbies in towards the end of the window will probably make no difference long term to their integration into the team as Emery will have the international window with them, but it could save us a few bob on wages.

Every little helps.

Buendia is probably also on the list to go.

Yeah but only 3 of those players make a difference to the UEFA A squad issue.

The only players I think we'd let go now  this late in the window ( but we'd need replacements lined up) are:

Moreno - but we have Lucas/Maatsen - so left back is reasonably well covered.

Buendia - we've got a pretty strong midfield group - be inclined to let
Barkley go before Emi B. Barkley didn't really contribute last season, doubt we'd get much for him, but getting his wages off the books wouldn't do any harm.

Garcia - an odd one if he were to leave - any such move would have to be profit driven, and we'd have to have a replacement lined up.

Can't see any room for Buendia with Guessand and potentially Asensio and Jackson ahead of him. He'll end up at Leeds or somewhere.
