Here's the article translated

Leander Dendoncker, Real Oviedo's main target to strengthen their midfield

Pablo Fernández
OVIEDO

Los Azules has been working on the deal for two weeks, and the Belgian international is the priority for the midfielder. He is expected to arrive in the capital after rescinding his contract with Aston Villa.

As of August 16, just hours after the league opening match against Villarreal, Real Oviedo's first option for central midfielder is Leander Dendoncker, a 30-year-old Belgian midfielder at Aston Villa, a full international and is more of a positional player than a winger—like Maksimovic—although he also has a strong presence in midfield. Physically strong and capable of contributing through passing, Dendoncker is right-footed and nearly 1.90m tall. Oviedo has other central midfielders on its radar, but right now their efforts are focused on the Belgian.

Oviedo manager Veljko Paunovic spoke with the player over a week ago and presented the project and the offer, assuring him of the need to sign a player like him. The deal has been active since then and several European clubs are bidding, but Real Oviedo are awaiting the player's response. Dendoncker, under contract at Aston Villa until 2026, is not in the English club's plans wasn't involved in pre-season training under Unai Emery.

The Belgian would reinforce Paunovic's pure central midfield role, as currently Paunovic only has Kwasi Sibo in that role. His arrival would complete the Blues' midfield, although surprises can never be ruled out in the final stages of the transfer window.

Current players Sibo, Colombatto, Santi Cazorla, Alberto Reina, Ilic, and Ovie Ejaria play in midfield for Oviedo.

The article refers to Donck "rescinding his contract with Aston Villa"

Taking that to mean mutually cancelled?

Given the expectation dampening the club have put out in the media I’m guessing an agreement on Asensio of some sort, a loan deal (Trossard perhaps), and a modest fee on a young defender.

Wouldn't be surprised if we were open to offers to Garcia and Barkley too. Barkley can't stay fit and his conditioning goes to pot when he isn't getting regular minutes. Link to yet another RB would suggest Emery might be on verging of moving Garcia on.

Barkley won’t be going anywhere. Garcia I can see if we get a hybrid CB/RB

That would be very low.
Get rid and move on; seems like an okay strategy to me. Other clubs will have seen Bailey's ineptitude last season and are hardly going to offer top dollar.

I think Garcia is decent. Quick and looked promising when he played last season.

Does shedding Dendonker's wage count for UEFA SCR if he wasn't part of the "squad" last season?

Yeah I’m not sure clear on that - I assume it does, and is different from the “A” squad stuff.

Ezri missing the next 3 games will hurt us and expose our lack of depth at rcb.

Can that Barca kid jump straight in or will it be Kamara at RCB for the next few games?

Maybe a cheeky loan bid for Diego Carlos who's fallen out of favour at Fenerbahce. If not, Bogarde.

I thought a straight red was always 3 games?
2 yellows was 1.
Saying that why is Emi missing 2?

It just googled and realise it's only violent conduct reds that are generally 3 games.
