I'm not sure why Monchi's in the middle there. It might explain our lack of signings.
He was off to France to tie up the deal for a Georgian. Paqueta doesn't want to play v Forest.

Isn’t the guy on the left the weird sex pest chap who thinks he’s a comedian? What’s his name?

Jim Davidson?

Paqueta is a very good player, but unless we are selling someone I would not have thought it a priority.

Russell Brand, another one we like look of and trying to do a loan with obligation but must sell Paqueta and Assensio first.

Paqueta doesn't want to play v Forrest.

I bet he doesn't all that running around he might have to do. Wonderful talent, worleful work rate. Utterly pointless. Asensio is miles better.

Don't want either.  Asensio is a completely pointless signing for a club that needs to get its wage bill down.  Grealish and Luiz would have been better and much cheaper options than.  What on earth are our board and sporting directors doing?

Everything they can to annoy you, I would hope.

Can Brand play right back, centre half or centre mid?

🚨 NEW: Lucas Paqueta has travelled with the squad while West Ham & Aston Villa are expected to keep working on a potential agreement.

Would we really be in for him and Asensio? Surely it’s on or the other? Or are bit stories bollocks? When does this window close?

Good because Paqueta is unbelievably shit. He'll be my new yellow card pick every match if we make this desperation signing.

You (or he) can bet on that.

Seeing it reported by The Athletic makes me think that there probably is something in the Paqueta thing.

Although it could be a tactic to hurry Asensio along.

But then, surely we can't be spending that sort of money, he'd be too expensive by far.

That's why Villa are probably pushing for a loan deal.
