Job done. Hopefully Kamera will be back on Tuesday. Bogarde will be very unlucky not to play on Tuesday, played well tonight as did Garcia.

Apart from my slipped disc first Villa match I’ve enjoyed watching for ages. Thought we worked hard and showed class.

Great scenes with El Ghazi at the end. Definitely has his place in Villa folklore!

Maybe Cardiff should play their weakened team every week in the Championship. They didn't do too badly tonight.

Thought Garcia,Bogarde and Maatsen were very good.Bailey was very bad. A clean sheet will do us the world of good.

Agreed, Garcia was our best I thought. Midfield two were solid. Easy win in the end and hopefully no injuries. Konsa was rubbish for their big chance at 0-0. Same as v Chelsea but I didn't think Asensio was in the game that much but showed composure with those finishes, maybe their keeper should have kept out the second. Often the most space in the box is near the penalty spot as he proved for both goals.

Miss aside, I thought Rashford played well. Obviously the odd match thread comment from someone watching an old Man Utd game of his.

Cracking win - home draw and should have no fear.

Arsenal gone, Liverpool gone, Chelsea gone, one of Toon or Brighton will be gone. It is thinnig out - be good if Ipswich could take care of Forest but let see

Bogarde and Garcia were very good.
Concerned we are so reliant on SJM and Tielemans in midfield.

He did but Keane is right he needs to play further up at times.

They are gonna focus on him - he is one of the most high profile English players over the last decade.

Lovely to see Anwar with his kids, one in blue, the other in claret and blue.  He's still walking around the ground signing autographs.

Routine win, hopefully without using up too much energy.  Fair play to Cardiff for making it tough.  Good goals from Marco, good performances from most of them.  When's the draw?  Monday I presume. Clean sheet!!

Anwar looked very happy.

Nearly said at half-time, reminded me a bit of Bologna.

Loads of possession, chances, bad misses but playing well and you never really thought we weren't going to win it.

Unlike loads of other games where we've had plenty of possession and if never looked like we were going to score.

Pretty straightforward in the end. We never looked like Villa'ing it up.

He’s a lovely man, glad to see him enjoying himself.

Garcia is going to be a big miss for the champions league games. Maybe we should have registered him and left Disasi out, especially as Bogarde played so well today.
