Forget the league now. Just channel everything into the cups.

I actually feel sorry for Olsen.  We always play like this when he has to come in.
He is part of it.

Emery having a nightmare tonight. What is our setup at the back...Bailey kind of RWB but not really. Three centre backs marking nobody and Digne lost, utterly lost on left.

Totally agree. Tactics all wrong by Emery.

As soon as I saw we were playing 3/5 at the back I knew the game was lost. It's a desperate measure to try and improve a defence by adding players rather than correcting mistakes

We don't have a CDM available though. I think he was trying to find a solution to that problem and threw off our balance a bit. Hopefully this is a wake-up call for Friday.

This fixture build up is absolute bull.

We could have just played Bogarde there. I think from what he's shown that it's probably his best position.

No Kamara, Torres or Mings. That's the issue.

No Barkley or Onana just compounds the fact the that the spine of our team is hugely weakened. Martinez off as well just doesn't help.

The defence has been shit in the league all season regardless of who was in defence and goal.

10000000000%

It's the fact that they are having a shit season at home and we go and play a formation that they are good at, we are no experts at it, hardly surprising we are getting beaten.  We have played into their hands and yet again shown the benevolent side of the club by allowing them the three points when they have been crap at home.  Not enough clean sheets, not enough away wins, yet again we concede two or more in a game.  I am losing faith, despite the injuries.

Bailey has been sharp when in their half.

Why Rogers up front? Malen on bench

I think Konsa is a massive weakness in defence.  He’s the one I’d upgrade first ..   all he does is point !

Yup it’s not really about personnel in the main. It is they just don’t do anything right structurally.

Conceding 2 a game confirms this.

With players missing.
