Sadly - we've got worse as the games gone on.

No idea why our away form is so bad - defense and midfield has just been non-existent.

Did they even check the pass to Wharton on the right. Didn't see it.

They did, TNT were just slow to show it and they had just finished checking when they finally got round to showing what VAR was looking at.

Play four at the back. Stick Bogarde in front of that four to cover with McGinn and Tielemans either side, with the flying column up front. Not that hard.

So we are resting our promising attack from last game for Cardiff then.

All over the place at the back since they scored.  Haven't got much else in the way of options, but McGinn and Tielemans can't offer defensive protection when we are under pressure.

They have blown up tonight, completely fatigued. Emery has sold them out with this formation though.

It’s been an exhibit in how to get it completely wrong.

You can just see the pride Palace take in defending. We don’t have a clue what we’re doing

No Kamara, Torres or Mings. That's the issue.

No Barkley or Onana just compounds the fact the that the spine of our team is hugely weakened. Martinez off as well just doesn't help.

Emery having a nightmare tonight. What is our setup at the back...Bailey kind of RWB but not really. Three centre backs marking nobody and Digne lost, utterly lost on left.

Totally agree. Tactics all wrong by Emery.

As soon as I saw we were playing 3/5 at the back I knew the game was lost. It's a desperate measure to try and improve a defence by adding players rather than correcting mistakes

We don't have a CDM available though. I think he was trying to find a solution to that problem and threw off our balance a bit. Hopefully this is a wake-up call for Friday.

This fixture build up is absolute bull.

I actually feel sorry for Olsen.  We always play like this when he has to come in.

Our defence is a major worry now.
We can’t grind wins out because we always concede and the goals we do give away are mainly embarrassing.
I’m afraid the  FA cup is our only route into European football next season.
