I would have started one of Rashford or Asensio but in Emery we trust.

I'm guessing we're just going to try and contain them for an hour before hitting them with the big guns.

Not much pace in that starting line up.

Expected to see Rashford start, also surprised to see bogarde - but I guess Rogers back at 10 - wasnt enjoying him on the right.

Think will be a tough game - there in good form.

This lineup screams “don’t give up an early goal.”

Is half seven the new 7:45 kick-off time? Same for the game with Liverpool last week.

I thought Disasi was a right sided centre half? If he can play left sided that helps a lot. Plenty to come on from the bench when defenders are tiring.

Played at Monaco in this position and very well

Looks like we’ll sit in. Not sure that’s our skill set.

We have lost 6/8 away in league

Not surprised starting line up is somewhat conservative

Think it’s a time for when there are multiple live games on TV.

Yes - 6/8 is a problem.  I’m good with the lineup.  I’d also like to see Ramsey get a goal.

Will be interesting to se if that defence line up is better than lately - here is hoping. I guess Bogarde is DM with Tielemans and McGinn out right. Might be that Emery go for a defensive line up from start and firepower comes on when needed - part of plan to not use too much energy as we have two games a week.

I think it's also designed with Palace's 5-2-3 / 3-4-3 formation in mind.

I might be wrong, but it’s a very keep it tight and disciplined type of starting line up and then batter them with our speed and directness when they get tired.
