Deserved flowers for the goal scorer and assister, but those two in centre-mid - warriors today.

Bogarde looks a good player. Can see why Emery hasn't sent him to Hull/Middlesbrough etc

Before you stick the boot in on our defenders you should consider that Mings and Konsa are playing through the pain barrier (like James Chester did). They are walking wounded and deserve unwavering support at this time not petty criticism

Agreed.

Not a wonderful performance but an important three points.  Used the subs really well.  A bit of class here and there and that was enough for Chelsea, who have all the gear and no idea.   We got better defensively too.  Cracking three points.  Liking these new players!!

Aston Villa have now won 18 points from losing positions in the Premier League this season.

That is more than any other team.

Meanwhile, 13 of the 15 points Chelsea have dropped from winning positions this season have come since Boxing Day.

Unsurprisingly, that too is more than any other side.

That stat would be more impressive if we weren't having to constantly come from a losing position because we've conceded an easy goal in the first few minutes.

Darn straight.

Neither should be playing at the moment if we had better cover.

I'm really starting to like Bogie, mind.

Fuck me, if we could keep a clean sheet we'd be challenging for the top 3.  Rashford is a player reborn.  Asesnsio (wooowoooh) looks a proper player.  We have 2/3rds of the outfield sown up now, if we can get tight at the back we will be super difficult to beat.  Happy as a pig in shit!

Love the way Konsa grabbed the goalie's water bottle and launched it after our winner.

Bogarde: here's looking at you, kid (in a footballing sense!)!  :)
