Not sure Son looks finished, he looks really short of confidence.

Agreed. He still has the technique and balance. Would love him at Villa if they actually made him available (and Asensio goes back).

Something that is going to annoy me for probably the next 15 years, Mikey Moore's parents have actually named him Mikey.

They didn't call him Michael, and as a precocious 17 year old he's chosen a five year old's name, which would be bad enough. But this?

Twats.

Not just Mikey. The middle names are Steven Danny.

JJ has to take these one on one chances, could have been all over early. Very happy with the new additions. Commentators going on about Spurs injuries never mentioned ours.

Shearer mentioned it just about on 90minutes having talked about their problems all game.

Just catching up now but I think we had 7 out tonight all of whom may well have started!

Seven out but you don't start Pau and Mings together (moreso with Konsa playing) so I'd say 6 (athough it became 7 again after Konsa got injured!) of whom 3 (Cash/Pau/Watkins) are probably the bona fide starters with a question mark over Onana.

JJ's my fave but if Ollie had missed all those chances tonight, he'd have been hounded off of Heroes and Villains foreva.

True. When interviewed after the match, JJ said his goal came from his weak side and he didn't feel confident when hitting it.

All his chances come from that side!!

Played well though.

players still to come back , our leading goalscorer missing , those two to get match fitness

yes the second half will be great

p lop , chelsea , spurs  and arse out ,  it could be :)

And Asensio .. you dont play for real madrid for ten years and be average  , I just knew he would be class , like our new Merson  and great to see Rshford working hard .

Hope the armchair lot enjoyed us.

Tut! We don't all live in Hinckley with east Astonian access.

Agreed. For his chance that he hit right at Emi he showed great pace. He's still got some left in the tank. Just his confidence has been hit by the shitshow that is that club.

But if Pau out you replace him with Mings? So to me they were all starters we were missing and driving home from the ground none of the radio coverage about Spurs mentioned this

I really wish I was a betting man as I'm broke and Villa not to keep a clean-sheet must have been decent odds even at the 80th minute mark. Don't think any of us expected Spurs to stay nil even when we were still having most of the play.

Most of our wins this season have been by one or two goal margins. I really hope we hand out some mullerings between now and May as we have it in us from an attacking sense. That back door is permanently on the latch though.

Great game, entertaining for the neutral I thought.

Most impressed with Bogarde, Garcia and SJM. The rest played like you’d expect the very good players they are should play.

I have some sympathy with Ange.

Rangers lol.

Would rather Preston or Plymouth at home, personally!
