Almost fifty years for Sid, I think.

Saw him in Brum at the Alex just days before he died.

Think he died in the 70s. Liked his shady character in Hancock's Half Hour.

He was a big Newcastle fan, that's why they named their ground after him.

It was just a joke, Footy.  Disasi's cup-tied status had been discussed (at length) in a number of threads ahead of the game against Spurs.  It was common knowledge.  Sid James has been dead for a very long time.  The joke is that your 'information' was very old news.

That explains the mix up. It was recent news to me.  And the character Sid James not familiar with.

You won’t like the coarse nature of the Carry On films. Full of innuendo. And tits.

He wouldn't like Birmingham then either, as I understand it's full of them, along with other lady parts and the Villa.

Why not put Konsa at LCB - he played there for England?

I know Unai likes a left passer - but Konsa cannot pass with his good foot on the right!

Leave him on the bench for a while instead.

Playing the Spurs game with no centre-backs and Konsa on the bench would be a bold strategy.

...which worked...albeit unplanned ;)  ;D

Maybe Bless This House would be more his thing.

'In April 1976 Sid James died shortly after leaving the stage following a production of Babs and her puppies at the Alhambra Theatre Wallsend.  Given his lifelong affiliation with Newcastle United, the club renamed their ground from Gallowgate Road to Sid James Park -  in latter years shortened to St James' Park.'
