Could be down to bear bones for this one. Still, they’re rubbish, we should do them.

Probably won't be done, but I would start Malen.

Home game so seeing one of the new players will lift the crowd from the start after the disappointment of mid-week.

I'd be amazed if he doesn't play some part (and disappointed if we see Bailey start).

We've lost the league game after the last 2 CL Aways, and the players will have BOTH eyes on the Celtic game. Will be amazed if we even get a point out of this one.

Why bare bones? Have we got new injuries/suspensions?

Just thought that there were some proper walking wounded on Tuesday. We’ve got 2 fit centre halves and 3 midfielders out. Maybe bare  bones (or bear bones as I said - idiot) isn’t quite the case but we could do with some players back.

Thank You.
430pm Super Sunday game. First time this season Villa get top billing.

Francisco Martín "Pako" Ayestarán Barandiarán Assistant Head Coach be running things from the touchline. Emery suspended.

Emery record at home v West Ham 3 wins (2 Villa, 1 Arsenal)
Emery record v Potter 2 wins from 2

In the FA Cup game when upped the tempo and quality West Ham couldn't cope. I think only managed 30 or so minutes of decent play but that was enough and would again for two goals and  go for a win but this time a clean sheet.

I would start Watkins he has scored 3 goals and 1 assist home and away last 4 Prem matches.
And has 3 goals in 4 at home in the Prem against West Ham.

I'd start Maatsen in this one but I think he'll play Digne.
And I think Bogarde will get some minutes.

2-0
Watkins and Ramsey

On that subject - We play on Tuesday, then have to push our league game all the way back to last billing on the Sunday, before a critical midweek Champions League game?!

Why the fuck has Villa v West Ham even been selected for primetime weekend telly? Must be a shite week for fixtures! Thanks very much Sky!

Man City got the advantage and have the 530pm Saturday match. Yet they played yesterday.

It also means that we have an extra two days of rest before Wet Ham in what is also an important game for us.

As the late Queen used to say, 'recollections may vary'. The FA Cup game changed when they lost Fullkrug then Summerville, this a team without Antonio (get well soon) and Bowen. Danny Ings, even with his new hair was never going to scare us. I'd have a lot more sympathy for West Ham if they didn't have a nonce's anthem as their own.

Unai needs to get the lads moving as they're like statues half the time. Ideally McGinn will be back to bring some much needed energy to the midfield. Obviously Bailey doesn't start, it's a toss up between world class, international class, top PL goalscorer, Ollie Watkins or sulky, childlike Jhon Duran. Not sure I would play Rogers, R9 or infuriating are his two levels but I'm pretty sure Unai will play him.

Looking forward to seeing a right winger in a Villa shirt for the first time this season, welcome Donyell Malen. More than anything I'm looking forward to 3 points. We should be beating teams like West Ham at home and need to stay in with the top 7 pack.

I think Emery still sees Watkins as a safer bet in the bigger games against better opponents, so will start him v West Ham and Duran will start v Celtic.
