Poor half from us

Apart from maatsen shot we have done hardly anything to trouble raya.

I dint get thw bogarde  sub that is a very wierd sub.  Why not malen? Or buendia?

Digne for maatsen at HT for me

Agree. Should have moved Tielemans back in the pivot and put Malen on with Rogers in the middle of the front three.
Olliie needs to put more of his chances away.

Can still get something out of this.

I think so too. The Bogarde sub doesn't make much sense though.

He wants us to retain some bite in midfield and both Meatball and Barkley are injured.

Obvious change was to move Tielemans back and bring one of Bailey or Buendia on. Bogarde is lost at this level, waste of a sub.

We’re trying to play calm but are being foiled by a very high energy Arsenal. We’ve got to get at them more. Maatsen asleep on the cross but other than that we’ve done ok in restricting them.

The problem with Tielemans is he’s brilliantly creative, which means he pretty much always looks for a killer pass. It means in form he’s fantastic, but out of form he gives the ball away so much. There’s not really a middle ground.

We are not at our best. Some of the Arse and their manager are very dislikeable. Hoping for a turnaround second half. We also have players on the bench that can make a difference.

Only some?

50m on another injury prone player 🤦‍♂️
Who’s the other one?

Erm ramsey ?
Sorry didn’t realise we spent £50M on Jacob.
original comment wasn't another £50M spent on an injury prone player though.

As Merse just said on Sky. For the goal, Maatsen doesn’t look behind him once to see where the danger is. That’s poor.
Im not sure he’s ye right choice against top sides , Djgne is a better defender. Against lower teams sure.

Id bring Digne on.

But Duran and Malen coming on at 0-1 could be interesting. We need not to concede. If they get another one , they’ll get a couple.

Huge and dare I say it unrealistic standards on here if that was a poor half from us. Dear me.

We've picked our moments to attack and opened them up a few times but just can't get the final ball through. And when we do Ollie is having yet another match when he's passing when he should be shooting and shooting when he should be passing.

I get it's tempting to try to chip Raya but he had Rogers accelerating right behind him so it was effectively a 2 v 1 going into the box.

In tight games like this you can't spurn too many occasions.

Goal was disappointing aswell with Maatsen ball watching and Emi seemingly trying to catch from very close range but not like they've had endless attempts on goal.

Half time came at a good time and surely we'll put on some actual attackers around the hour mark so we're far from out of this.
