Really poor that we've let them get ahead . They looked nervous and vulnerable at the back and we haven't exposed that enough.
Maatsen needs hooking at HT .

Too many players wilting
Watkins Mastsen have been poor, you can not carry 2 players at this level.

Full-backs tend to be good going forward or good defensively. They're rarely both.
Digne's pretty good at both.

Tielemans has really struggled of late.

He hasn't played well for weeks, in that role surely Buendia has deserved a chance to at least see how he gets on.

Ref letting Woolwich have a go even though time was up.

Anyway, not too bad but Maatsen struggling and Onana a loss. Had chances that we spurned. Again.

If possible we need to be a bit more composed. On the few occasions when it’s been played through midfield we’ve created something and looked dangerous but the 3 behind Watkins haven’t shown enough or got on the ball. There’s been too many hoofs up to an outnumbered Watkins and it just comes straight back.

Decent half with some bright transitions. Tough luck for Onana :-\

For a big fella, he looks like he's made of glass.

Wonder if we'll look at any kind of deal for a CM (even a loan) with the recent spate of injuries.

Those options from the bench weren't great to begin with.

Tielemans with Kamara, Rogers down the middle and Bailey/Malen out wide would have been my switch. Bogarde will be chasing shadows in the middle poor lad.

Watkins has not been poor; he's lacked support when we bang the ball to him

Watkins does not deserve half the criticism he gets. Tremendous villa striker.

If he misses a decent chance , I can have a bit of a moan about it , it is a match thread.

Duran scores that .

But there is worse players today .
