I thought Unai was keeping Duran for the big games. Obviously not.

Watkins deserves his start. Bouba and Onana key for me tonight. Don't like Trousard starting, think he's underrated.

Watkins played well enough and scored last time out. I’m pretty sure that Duran will start in Monaco. And Ollie has usually done well against Arsenal.

Perhaps Jhon and Don(yell) will be a frightening sub combo at 60 minutes?

This could be a case for Lewis and Skelly.

Agree. Crucial that both Bouba and Onana do not pick up early cards.

I really fancy another win here.

If we are clinical when our chances come, we can win this. If we don't, like the opening game, we'll have problems.

I wish whatever malady he's suffering with would start to manifest physically.

We’ve started the year well without being convincing. A win today, however it comes will be massive for our confidence. Even just a good result taking a point. Arsenal are missing some big players so we certainly have a good chance here. Need to really attack that CBs because not having Saliba is a big blow for them.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to admit to gross dereliction duty.

Despite having bought my two grandsons full Villa kit and pointed out our glorious history (though it was tough getting them to relate to the 19th Century), they’re going to see us play Arsenal with their dad. With full home kit on.

I truly wish we hammer Arsenal into a sticky paste. If that transpires, then I may succumb to a gloating call later on.

Sigh.

Stop Oddegaard and you stop most of their creativity , give him time and space he'll pick us off .
