Natural air of authority. Willingness to mix with the rabble. You wouldn't mess with him. Vague but limitless source of wealth. It can only be one man.

HRH Big Daz Wooley.

I reckon it'd be someone with a very boring posting style. Doesn't say anything controversial or likely to cause debate. The occasional 'I agree' or 'great result'.

I would assume he isn't daft enough to post without masking his IP address but that's the first place I'd check if I had mod powers.

He'd probably pick a really inconspicuous name with Villa or Villan in it. Maybe the club colours mentioned. Just to come across like a normal, Villa fan and make it not about him.

He'd be almost exclusively browsing the Villa threads and never in off topic or anything like that.

I think it'd be unlikely he'd be on the forum between the hours of 11pm and 5am. So if you have any suspects in mind, I'd check the profile of that person and see if their posting times align with this.

There will obviously be nobody here to vouch for him so anyone who has met a prominent member in real life can be eliminated from our investigation.

Haven't got a clue tbh.

Someone terrified of billionaires leaving the country might be that way because the country’s tax take is very important to their way of life…

I think he plays Guess The Goal, though. *

Especially today, as he probably knows a few Arsenal fans (along with the Chelsea crowd mentioned in the article).

He could even follow this link if he hasn’t guessed already!👍

GTG R15 Arsenal v ASTON VILLA

* and Guess The Crowd  :)

I don't think context has been applied to this thread. Here's the relevant part of the article from The Athletic about the fans who met him on Wensday:

Quote
As the subject of Villa spindled one way and the other, from PSR to Tielemans’ playmaking abilities, Prince William disclosed one of the more royally guarded secrets: in his spare time, he is a regular contributor to online fan forums.

“He said he keeps abreast of Villa gossip because he is on all the fans’ forums,” says Jones. “He goes under different names and he posts on there because that’s how he gets the feeling of what’s going on and what’s the opinion.”

The prince finished his pint and after three-quarters of an hour, an aide, who had been sitting, as Jones puts it, “quite far back” from the Villa huddle, reminded him that his train would be leaving shortly.

He was in no rush, however. Such was the lack of urgency to move and being immersed in conversation, he had to be reminded twice more that his train was swiftly approaching.

“It was a release into normality,” says Johnson. “At the end, he just said, ‘OK, shall we get some photos done?’. Everyone had one on their own before a couple of group photos. Once he left, we had another pint. It was a once-in-a-million lifetimes thing.”

It's pretty obvious who it is. If you look at the 'What was the last ale you drank' thread over the last few months, there's only one poster who keeps on singing the praises of the beer in Wetherspoons.

I like him. I like that he likes us vs anyone else. He comes across as having a genuine affection for Villa. He wasn’t born one of us but it doesn’t matter. And he’s contributed towards building our reputation at a time that we needed it. It’s not like he started to follow us when Emery rolled up.

Love the guy and his family.  Brilliant to have a Villa fan at his level in society.  Clearly, all the children will be Villans, we have a generation ahead of us where our kings and queens will be claret and blue.

Yeah, absolutely. He can’t choose his parents any more than the rest of us. But he seems to be a nice enough bloke, which is all anyone can do really. Nice that he’s just as preoccupied with how the Villa are doing as the rest of us :)
