PGA starts today, if it's half as good as the Masters it'll be worth watching.

Rory favourite at 17/4, Scheffler 19/4, DeChambeau 15/2, Rahm and Thomas 18, Schauffele 20, Aberg and Morikawa 22.

It got very interesting, when Rahm caught up with Scheffler, but Scheffler kept his nerve and soon regained his lead and was then very solid to the end.

Since his Masters win Rory has been in terrible form, so with Oakmont considered by many to be the toughest of the US Open courses, it's not looking too good for him. He will probably either miss the cut by miles or end up winning his 2nd major of the year.

Obviously Scheffler is the favourite 11/4, DeChambeau 7, Rory 14, Adberg 16, Schauffle 20, Morikawa and Niemann 25 and Lowry 30.

Looks like there's gonna be a first time major winner, Adam Scott is the only major winner in the top 10 and that was his Masters win 12 years ago and has not won on the PGA tour for 5 years. Sam Burns is the favourite, but I'm going for Hovland to win his first major.

On the 18th tee with a one shot lead, Tommy Fleetwood has 3 putts on the green and ends losing by a shot to Keegan Bradley. It would have been his first win on the PGA tour.

As The Open returns to Royal Portrush, all Irish eyes will be on Rory, who seems to be finding his best form, and of course Shane Lowry, who famously lifted the Claret Jug there in 2019. Apart from Rory, if you're looking for a home win, Robert MacIntyre, who narrowly missed out on taking JJ Spaun to a playoff at the US Open, maybe a good bet.

The good news is, it doesn't clash with a Test match.

Hon Rory and Shane, although I may have to settle for the course and crowd living up to the billing.

Rose would be my choice to win. Probably be one of the lesser known American players though.

Hatton has a major in him. Don't know when, but I think it'll come.

Unfortunately it looks like a very well known American is favourite now.

Anyone but Scheffler please, FFS. Personality vacuum.
