Can't see him starting with Ramsey, been out for weeks and needs to break in slowly.
Did he even touch the ball against BHA?

Yes

Thought he did quite well.

I like Drummonds side. Barkley and Kamara sitting with Tielemans running free at 10, get Ramsey and Bailey behind their 2 centre halves.

Barkley can pass too, with Tielemans in front of him it could be really interesting.

Barkley has a habit of taking way too much time when he actually has some time on the ball, it's an odd trait, otherwise he's fine when under direct pressure. I put it down to not being in rhythm for playing bits and pieces of games.

I agree with that, too many times a player has nipped in behind him without him noticing. He needs more time for sure to get up to speed because when he is, I think he's great.

I'm really struggling to decide how we should deal with Rogers and Torres being out for this one.

Is Mings fit enough to play the 90?
Is Ramsey fit enough to play the 90?
Could Philogene show his real ability on the left?

I think I'd be tempted to go with:

Martinez
Cash, Konsa, Mings, Digne
Kamara, Onana
Bailey, Tielemans, Philogene
Watkins

I suspect we'll need Carlos/Swinkels to come on at some point and I'd want to give Ramsey at least half an hour but I think that's the lowest risk starting line up.

Pau Torres has suffered a broken metatarsal, ruling him out for around two months.

Diego Carlos is also unavailable for the game against Leicester as well as Jaden Philogene, due to injury. Rogers and Duran are suspended.

McGinn for Philogene.

Subs bench looking a little bare now:

Olsen
Ned
Bogarde
Maatsen
Ross B
Buendia
Ramsey
Any forward options?

Last chance saloon for Jaden?

Probably not as he’s injured

Carlos and Philogene both out with "small injuries" . Swinkels on the bench then let's hope he isn't needed .

Honestly, as with Philogene's 'injury' I kind of suspect a move may be in the pipeline. Although with Pau's injury that might be doubtful.

I think you are right though.  We should have enough to win this and can put the likes of Bogarde and Swinkels on the bench.  I'm sure Unai will have analysed it to within an inch of its life. Don't risk Crlos, get rid. Same for Philogene.
