Baileys playing well as is Rogers. Watkins is working hard but his control is still rusty. I do feel he has some goals in him though.

Konsa is a liability and Watkins has to be more clinical.

Not disappointed that Mings is on as I would have started him instead of Pau. If we play the second half the same way as we ended the first, we wil win.

Rogers lively but I’d love to see Ramsey come on. I think his end product is better. Take McGinn or Bailey off. Neither have done much.

Came on here to say Bailey has been better only to find people slagging him off.

We have played well but conceded our customary, piece-of-piss goal. Otherwise it would have been a very decent performance. Konsa's form is a worry, didn't expect him to go to shit.

We also need McGinn, Tielemans and Bailey to provide a goal threat. It is all on Watkins and Rogers in this XI at the moment.

Lamptey would improve our right flank.Always liked him

Was going to say the same.  Similar pace to Maatsen by the looks of it, and best of all, he's out of contract in the summer, so unless he's about to sign a new contract in the next couple of days, he's able to talk to other teams from next week.  Will be cheap-ish in January, or he'll be an excellent Bosman for someone next summer.

better than shit, yes.  still takes too long in the decision making and usually the wrong decision.

Bailey needs something, a goal or some real contribution, we know he’s a confidence player. He’s been slightly better. Still not the Bailey of last season at times.

Yeah deffo...more goals from the midfield lads wouldn't go a miss. I think a fit Ramsey has it in him for double numbers from midfield.

HT.

By far the better team.

Agreed, they scored from a ridiculous bit of defending and haven't been much threat since.

At the other end we're just not getting shots on target but everything up to their box is very good. I don't think we're very far at all from getting 4 or 5 in a game like this. Just need a couple of players to get back their confidence in front of goal.

I’m kind of sorry as it looked like a serious injury, but each to their own

Watkins is almost being too greedy, we know he’s having to really fight for his place, but he missed an obvious pass to JM who was in on goal and Watkins did his best Agboblahor impression.

It's marginally his second best game of the season....the last West Ham in August.

Torres will be a big miss if he is out for longer time as could be possible looking at the pictures. With the early goal against still looking the better team and Watkins and Bailey running all day without scoring (penalty aside which was very good) seems a typical Villa game og lately.

We’re not great at decision making in crunch moments around the box.

Very odd game.  Lacking composure all over the pitch.

Think we should go back to unais first season - this squad with this form is not good able to play unais plan a.

Too weak defensively - not clicking in the final third and not enough depth
