Then managed Bayern Munich. Anyone on here would win the league with them

New England manager excepted, of course.

In fairness, I don't think Tuchel posts on here.

Saying Guardiola isn't an elite manager is borderline insane. I agree that there are caveats that a lot of people prefer not to acknowledge, but he's absolutely, obviously a brilliant coach.
It's not insane mate it's an opinion. One shared by an awful lot of people. I guess they're all insane too?

It is a bit. You've got be a bit mental to kind of come to the view that the man that has won what he has isn't elite.

Look, I don't like him, I think he's a smug, sniffs-his-own-farts bellend, and I don't much like his suffocate the opposition tactics, I think it spoils games as a spectacle, but trying to deny it because it doesn't suit my taste is foolish.

He's an elite coach, and he's a bellend that would be lost in a relegation struggle. The two things can true simultaneously.

LeeB is correct on all counts in this matter.

I mean, if Guardiola isn't (all the stuff above, as well as literally changing how people are taught to play football) then which manager is?

Yeah, he basically had about half of the Spain squad, when they had arguably the best international team of all time, plus Messi. Then managed Bayern Munich. Anyone on here would win the league with them, then managed Man City when they had unlimited spending power. He's never had the slightest adversity in his entire career. Until now. Shame.

If you haven’t already listen to one of the Irish blokes off The Villa Podcast for a top quality Guardiola rant. It’s a few years old but worth a listen.

If my opinion were that I was cage of canaries that would be an insane opinion.

On a more colloquial level (as in, I'm not actually saying they're sectionable), lots of Americans seem to think that you fight inflation with tariffs, lots of people seem to believe in the Rapture, lots of people even seem to be of the opinion that the earth is flat. About 20% of any given population can be relied on to believe some crazy old nonsense. So 'an awful lot of people' sharing an opinion is pretty irrelevant.

Anyway, didn't mean anything hostile. You're obviously free to have your opinion, and I'm free to think it's mental disagree ;).

He’s a great manager of elite teams but a lot of people have questioned how well he’d do with a shit team or an aging team on the slide. It’s great to see.

It's intriguing to see just how bad it gets for them. Right now I genuinely don't believe we'll finish above them just because of what they've been before. I'm not sure how many more defeats will change my mind.

The “sacked in the morning” chants from the Holte on Saturday were almost as satisfying to hear as the “ Fergie Fergie on the dole” chants from Christmas 35 years ago.

I'm not being hostile either so I'll respectfully disagree with you. I don't think anything has been proven either way. Everything that club  has achieved since being taken over by the sports washing cheats is questionable hence the 115 charges. Pep has been in charge of a team who have had the ultimate cheat code and now they can't use it anymore they are struggling to cope. I will go to my grave not giving a scintilla of credit to that horrible club or any of their managers who've enjoyed the benefits of such blatant skullduggery.
