Lovely quote on SkySports match report.

Quote
Time and again Rogers picked the ball up on the half turn, held off his marker and skipped away from them. Kyle Walker, on as a half-time substitute as Guardiola tried in vain to change something, seemed to age in real time when up against him.

Although, strictly speaking, we are all currently ageing in real time.

Honestly even if it ended 2-1 we were so comfortable  in the game. Even everton gave us a harder game

I do find it odd how some seem to have turned on Ollie with real relish. He’s a really important player, one of the best in Europe last year, and whilst a bit off it this year he’s still making a solid contribution. Give him a break. Durán is doing brilliantly, that’s fantastic for us but it doesn’t need to be turned into a dig at Ollie. I’m sure at some point Durán’s form will tail off, we need a squad of quality players and we’re lucky with got two excellent strikers.

I agree.  It was a chance that Watkins had but it wasn't as easy as some here are making out.  The angle was always going to be tight and favouring the goalkeeper.  Either way Watkins has these patches as we know all too well but over a season he will still be in double figures goal wise even if starting less.

Ollie is massively important to our club. We need them both and there’s no doubt Ollie will come back firing soon enough.

So many things from that performance were superb.
The build up to both of our goals, magnificent. Both.

So much more balance in the team, with Onana and Kamara allowing Tielemans to play more advanced, where he was superb, the position suits him so much better.

Cash actually looks like a player when he is up for a battle.

Duran is maturing into a  proper team player at a rate of  knots, he is very, very special.

Ginnys arse was back in all its glory.

We are a much, much, much better team when we play with a bit of pace and drive. We were in our pomp for larges swathes of that game, and would probably beat any team in Europe when we are like that.

My final words are for Morgan Rogers.
That performance was just incredible, brilliant. There is no need to elaborate anymore.
The kid is a superstar in the making.

....and for those who were mad that Mings wasn't starting, Haaland had his first touch in our box in the 90th minute.

We don't play the ball around and out the back like we did today int he second half without Pau in the team.

That's hardly a 'taunt', is it? The delights of Yahoo Sport 'headlines.' He's just pointing out that his move has overall been a success with 3 titles. As a player though he has become a total dullard, though I thought he was more like his old self in the first half (utterly dreadful in the second). His form is not our problem.

Three league trophies. And his bearing on all of them has been minimal.
