Onana/Kamara looks something we can build on to help stabilize the midfield and add a layer of protection to the defence. Hard to see Ollie getting back in the side right now. Duran is getting better each week and taking chances. And when he came Ollie spurned his opportunity.

It’s not, it’s really easy to see him getting back into the side. Weird attitude.

Attitude? I wouldn’t say it’s easy. Duran is getting picked to start in big games and taking his chances. Ollie will get selected but the scales are tipping in favour of Duran the longer Ollie wastes opportunities or simply doesn’t look the player of the last 2 seasons.

Yeah. It’s not hard in the slightest. I can see Watkins starting against Newcastle for instance. Not because Duran doesn’t “deserve” to start but that how we set up might suit Watkins better.

I’m really happy we seem to have another brilliant centre forward, but it doesn’t need to also include us giving up on our best striker in at least a decade, maybe 2, because he’s had a dozen of poor performances.

In spite of us giving Grealish plenty of space in the first half he produced next to nothing. And what was that about clattering McGinn? I thought they were mates.

And I thought this was his club, his city blah blah. "You're just a shit Morgan Rogers"  :)

Obama/Kamara is what it’s all about.

Onana, despite being very young is already a really good leader. To call him Obama is a step too far.

If he keeps playing like that, there'll be no reason to barrack him.

Slightly annoyed by their goal as I was predicting 2-0 all night at work, much to the amusement of glory-hunting wankers.

I just couldn’t see us not beating them. When you have players so much fitter and stronger than the opposition it can overcome better players. When you have better players as well…

Lovely quote on SkySports match report.

Quote
Time and again Rogers picked the ball up on the half turn, held off his marker and skipped away from them. Kyle Walker, on as a half-time substitute as Guardiola tried in vain to change something, seemed to age in real time when up against him.

Onana/Kamara fantastic combination, gave Youri and Rogers more freedom to express themselves.

Brilliant all round performance, worthy winners.

We are back. Onwards and upwards.

I do find it odd how some seem to have turned on Ollie with real relish. He’s a really important player, one of the best in Europe last year, and whilst a bit off it this year he’s still making a solid contribution. Give him a break. Durán is doing brilliantly, that’s fantastic for us but it doesn’t need to be turned into a dig at Ollie. I’m sure at some point Durán’s form will tail off, we need a squad of quality players and we’re lucky with got two excellent strikers.

Great quote.
They were shit. Their tippy tappy shite is now toothless, so it is utter death to football enjoyment.
However, we were great. It was an Emery masterclass, like a boxing match, we let them prod and swing at us in the first half, to see what they had, and found out all they really had was the shadow of the player that used to be Jack Grealish. He was that shit that the Holte End grew bored of giving him stick.
Second half having assessed they weren’t all that we just got after them. A disallowed Duran goal, Rogers hitting the post, Ollie hitting one at their keeper, 5-0 wouldn’t off flattered our utter dominance.
Everyone had a great game, Onana grew into the 2nd half, Kamara is just class, but the quintet of McGinn, Rogers, Tielemans and Duran, wow.

And McGinn represents everything that Grealish isn’t in terms of endeavour, loyalty etc.

Great afternoon

Would have been interesting the change in comments if it was Ollie who didn't score in the first minute, and then Duran who didn't score within a minute of coming on.

Best performance of the season so far. They hadn’t got a clue how to handle Duran or Rogers. City had a lot of possession but only one team looked like winning this match.
So many great performances today. Good to see.

That has to be the central midfield now.

I think the manager has wanted to play that three in that way since Onana was bought. If they stay fit, we'll start to impose ourselves big style. Please stay fit all!

Duran is 21! I was still looking at pics of Sam Fox at that age.
