That was the Villa of last season in terms of our energy and movement. The bit at the end reminded us of our difficulties this season in keeping the ball out of the net. But we could and should have won by many more.

Outstanding all over the pitch and some of the football we were playing in that first 20 minutes or so of the second half was especially sublime. The headlines will be about the continued demise of the opposition but we deserve credit for that one, very special performance.

Onana/Kamara looks something we can build on to help stabilize the midfield and add a layer of protection to the defence. Hard to see Ollie getting back in the side right now. Duran is getting better each week and taking chances. And when he came Ollie spurned his opportunity.

Not playing midweek makes a huge difference, the energy levels were far higher . The players looked determined to exocise the demons of last week too. C115y were poor but take nothing away from our performance.
