Get all that right and coming from where they are you’re talking a minimum of 10 years to get even remotely close to being in the top 6, let alone winning a trophy or consistently qualifying for the Champions League. Building a stadium won’t do it you have to have every other bit right as well.

Have they started telling themselves that them winning the League Cup 15 years ago was a bigger achievement than if we win the Europa League yet?  Fully expecting that one to be trotted out over the coming days.

That said, they are a complete irrelevance to us at the moment.

Champions League
Premier League
FA Cup
Europa League
League Cup
Conference League

Maybe switch Europa and FA Cup?

However, that meant we qualified for a competition we were more likely to win, so if we are successful on Wednesday, it will make it all worthwhile.

England has loads of clubs with big stadiums who have won nothing for years. Some of them have had decent owners and managers too. If only it was that simple.
Having to work within the current financial regulations will stop them being able to attract top players, and let's be honest would they rather go to Man Utd or Blues.
They are a generation away from doing anything of note, and that's being kind.

And if we do, when would that be? Obviously it better to not have that jeopardy or the disruption to pre-season preparations, particularly when many of players will have time off after the World Cup. UTV
