We're now 1/80 to finish top 5. Bournemouth are 20/1 and Brentford are 80/1, if anyone's feeling jittery.

Still feeling jittery until it’s absolutely confirmed, given we’ve been fairly poor for many weeks now. Beat Burnley and we can relax.

The "metrics" of us winning all our European home games this season, Forest only 3 away, with a record of 1 defeat and 1 draw (which should have been 3 points as it was never a foul) over the past 3 seasons ought to be "metrics" that give confidence to the players that there is a well to draw upon. That and Forest being a side we've contained twice pretty effectively in the past 2 weeks and ought to have battered, having previously battered at Villa Park already. Fear should not come into the equation.

There's another metric - that the team we played last night are statistically one of the worst in the league. Made no difference, though.

No as the manager wasn't arsed, hence the side picked, the way we played and his lack of reaction. If there was an option to have not bothered at all and take an automatic defeat, I think Emery probably would have done that.

Why did he play Tielemans and Rogers for 90+ minutes, if he didn’t care?

When you say played, what you mean is they ambled around. Rogers got a bit animated in fairness with 10 minutes left when he struggled not to chin Palhinha. Tielemans in particular absolutely sandbagged it.

Seems a strange risk though, considering he couldn’t care less. Could have easily picked up a “12 stitches in the forehead” type of injury.

Unai has shown he can get our team to put together two big games in a week. Remember Man City followed by Arsenal? This week is as big as it comes for us…Forest and Burnley? COYVB!!!

Looking at the last three fixtures for the only three teams who can now catch us helps with the jitters a bit more.  We win at Burnley and two of them are done anyway no matter what they do.  Bournemouth will have to win to stand a chance and they then have Manchester City next game after that.

I think we need to win at Burnley and then it’s unlikely Bournemouth win all three.

I watched it. I’ve not missed a minute. I can see that you’re no longer taking questions.

I just think it's an absurd what if to consider Tielemans ambling about, under hitting passes and generally looking like he'd been drinking all day, motivating himself to try and win a 50/50 header to lead to a freak accident.

I think the presence of Joao Palinha on the pitch meant that the level of effort you were putting in probably didn't change the risk exposure to a season-ending injury.

Still feeling pretty flat after the last week.  Really hope we do - but 2 lifeless PL performances has me very nervous.

At the end of the day - if we miss out it would be pretty inexcuseable given how much is riding on it all.

And Richarlison. Who likes like he’s carrying a shank whenever he’s playing.

We've been so shit, it might actually help.  The players will be under no illusion that they need to buck their ideas up.  The chances are slipping away, it is now or never if this cohort want to win something.

That should be enough motivation to snap out of their slumber.
