I've said all season that apart from the top 2 there was no one we had to worry about.

I mentioned at the time that I hoped the Chelsea home match would be the same for them as when Spurs tonked us two seasons ago, and it appears to have happened.

Another way to view this is as a fan of a club chasing Liverpool let alone us with 5 games left. What confidence would you have as a fan of any club 6-12 of bridging that gap? And then add another 3 to get to us. If we were in the chasing pack we’d be saying there is no chance at all. Because realistically that’s the case even if mathematically there is.

Yeah, after today's result they've even given up over on SHA.

If we had Liverpool’s run in, we would all have given up already.

I know people in football are generally blessed with super-confidence, but what on earth was Rosenior thinking, taking that job, there was no way that was ever going to work out well for him.

Haven't they given him a six year deal? I guess that would answer the question.

It's also not really a typical "club hiring a new manager" situation.

It's an employer telling an employee that they are being transferred to a different department.

It's all done, only dusting remains. There is no way Chelsea or an other are going to average 2 points per game from their last 5 even if we lose all 5

I also doubt it dents his trajectory too much even if he were sacked tomorrow. He probably would have gone from Strasbourg to a sort of Middlesbrough job, anyway. Now there is just a club in-between with a decent pay-off who most think is a difficult club to manage.

Yup. He also did well enough at Strasbourg that plenty of top six clubs in various European leagues will be quite happy to take him on. He'll get perfectly decent manager jobs for as long as he wants them.

Then a time will come that he might decide that the TNT sofa for a few years is a more comfortable lifestyle than going to relegation-threatened Blackburn. Then probably be the face of the reconstruction of the post-war ruins of Dubai for a property company in 2035.

Can't believe you have asked the Mrs Merton/Debbie McGee  question😂
