Having lost three league games on the bounce, and having won only one in six, it's frankly a miracle we're still in the top four.  In the form guide for the last 10 games, we're 18th.

Something has to change, and our next few games look a bit easier on paper, but we know that at this stage of the season, that means bugger all.

Chelsea have a couple of tough games coming up, so if we can string a couple of wins together, i'll become a believer again.  We absolutely need to win against West Ham before the International break.  Come back second week in April with Youri back in the squad and we can still do this.

West Ham is huge and their current form is ok, better than ours anyway, though they did get a shoeing at Liverpool a few weeks back.
Something does have to change though, Torres and Maatsen starting would help and Im afraid Ollie really needs to come out of the side.

It maybe doesn’t feel like it, but I think we only have to slightly improve to finish in the top 5.

Chelsea and Liverpool will both drop lots of points before the end of the season. We just need to squeeze a few wins out of our upcoming run of winnable games.

If we get Tielemans and Cash back for that run, and no more injuries to key players, we’ll do it.

The run in is largely kind on paper, & a couple of wins no matter how ugly will do wonders for team confidence.  Glass is half full...

Only because the attackers were trying to fill it and kept missing the glass.

We really need to start trying to win games, rather than try not to lose them.

If we can’t reach Champs League with the sh1t we’re up against in the next 6 games then we fully deserve not to. Time to step things up.

Haven't we just had a run of "easy" games where we were due to pick up loads of points?

Indeed - if we don’t find more attacking spark we won’t do it. The way to deal with “easier” games is have attacking threat and make the opposition fearful. If they don’t think you’ll attack it’ll embolden them.

Yes, the five league fixtures were supposed to be kind in February.  I'd have expected 11 points from those from a full strength team.  Maybe 8 points allowing for the injuries.  We got 5.

These next 6 fixtures see us play four teams in the bottom six, a Sunderland side who are slipping, and don't we normally do ok at Fulham?  I expect double figure points this time

I think 4 wins and a draw will do it.

Chelsea fans already turning on Mr Man Ager and despite the last two months, I'd still fancy us to find consistent form over them. No idea what to make of Liverpool.

Saying all this, I'll echo what Paul said in that if we can't find some kind of attacking urgency it'll all be for nothing. We've looked better everywhere else the past few games except going forward.

I think at least seven from the next four (West Ham, Forest, Sunderland, Fulham) is crucial. I'd be confident of three against Burnley. That would get us to 61.

But the results above would see us "in form" again, and I think I think I'd be pretty confident against Spurs and Liverpool in those circumstances. If we go into those last three or four not "in form", then it probably has ceased to matter anyway and hopefully we're still in Europe to put all of our eggs in that basket instead.

Brentford and maybe Newcastle on a run could upset the apple cart!  But I still think we'll do it.

You'd fancy Newcastle to turn it on what with Bruno coming back and on paper a very easy run in. Shame they're not playing Chelsea or United...

Well they've just beaten both those teams while we lost to them! Glad Newcastle are probably too far back, don't want them pipping-us again.
