Should be a good chunk of points from the next 6, but based on current form i'm not as confident as I should be

West Ham (H)
Forest (A)
Sunderland (H)
Fulham (A)
Spurs (H)
Burnley (A)
Liverpool (H)
ManC (A)

Four of the current bottom five, one of the few teams in the league in worse form than us and a team we beat more often than not. I'll go for two points.

I fear Unai is set to break another record, the only club in Europe to ever miss out on CL qualification for two consecutive seasons on goal difference.

The problem is performance wise we have been consistently one of the worst teams in the league for the last month or so, and the results bear that out. The injury issues have obviously been a big problem - but the squad that remains is not bottom 3 level. We should be performing better, and even mid table form would do. But unless we do something we’ll fade away.

Its 2 things for me.

One is Unai's team selections and the second is the poor form of our attacking players.

That said, I'm with Ads, we'll qualify both ways.

Kamara, Youri and McGinn avoid injury and I reckon we'd be sitting on about 63 points right now. It was a cruel, cruel blow.

We will be in better shape than we were in 2022 whatever happens.

I know what your general point is but surely the above is the absolute lowest of low bars.

I’m glad I have the plague, because Ebola was a right bind.

Right, I was just responding to all the 'we'll be cannon fodder for years' type posts on here today.

They’re both related - too many players are out of form for it to be an individual thing.

16 points from the next 6 should be enough to qualify, and we can rest players against Liverpool.

Nah. We don't create enough chances and when we do, we mostly miss them, while we pretty much always looking capable of conceding at the other end. Not a combination that screams "top five".

And again another team helps. Help our fucking selves please Villa, and stop being so pathetically weak. Pick the right team and start trying to win games again - rather than just bowing to adversity.
