We are very reminiscent of what we looked like at the start of the season - no ideas and feeling sorry for ourselves. We will continue to be this abject until we do something different and show some intent.

Unfortunately it's difficult to see now. Form is terrible. Unai needs to make some bold decisions and shake things up, but I'm worried that he will stick rather than twist. Need Arsenal to beat Chelsea and then somehow pull out a performance against Chelsea on Wed. Amazingly that would be a 9 points gap. So all hope is not lost.

It’s a straw, I’m clinging to it.

No...and if we carry on like tonight for much longer, someone could be changing this thread to 'Will we qualify for Europe?'

I'm not there yet, but it all hinges on Wednesday now and that's assuming Arsenal beat Chelsea.

If we carry on as we have been the last few weeks then we'd be lucky to hold onto 6th. The straw to clutch at is SJM and Tielemans returning, but there's every chance it's too late by then regardless.

No, we're done. The midfield won't be back quick enough. We have no threat out wide, the centre forward is shot and through the middle we're pedestrian and lack a killer ball without Tielemans and McGinn's drive. We've been very patchy all season and eeked loads of 1 goal wins without playing well.

Was it not the other day people were saying that four teams below us would have to put together title-winning runs to finish ahead of us and that not all of them could possibly do that? In that case, we're gonna be fine!

The poor run of form includes a very fortunate 3 points in the home win over Brighton. The team do not look capable of moving out of first gear at the moment and the cup game against Lille may well be the end of our European involvement.
We almost seem to be playing with a bare minimum of effort and a hope in just managing to scrape a win.
Theres still a long way to go but the current signs are not good at all. We have been unlucky with injuries but the squad clearly is lacking in real depth and whilst  the performance against Wolves was very poor was it really that much of a surprise.

The injuries have completely killed this season it would seem.  And that’s kind of understandable.  But the other thing that’s not helped has been some of the players attitude.  The whole “don’t expect too much from us” bollocks from Watkins was just weird - we do expect you to score some goals!  “I’m going to play for a big club” from Onana… please.  That to me shows that the  mentality is a bit suspect. Konsa now apparently calling fans out after a shocking, AWFUL performance after losing a derby against the worst PL side I’ve seen in a long time (wolves were dog shit as they have been all season)?  That’s not a good look.

The players need to step up a bit.  That starts with winning some tackles in midfield as well.  There’s no aggression out there and that’s got to change.  We are way too easy to play against right now and if. That doesn’t change we are going to finish 6th or 7th.
