If we're being optimistic, he only needs to stay fit until early/mid March. Not a chance he goes the rest of the season without an injury, but with SJM back that's 3 rotation options in that position. You just wheel him our for 'big' games for 60 minutes.

What's Onana's longest stint of starts in a Villa shirt? It feels he doesn't trust his body or has an issue with low-pain threshold.

How likely is it that he's fit for every game for the next 3 months? It ain't realistic.

He needs to deliver a Newcastle esque performance next weekend. If he does with Luiz next to him we will win the midfield battle and a narrow win.

8 points from the last 7 isn't great.

Don't want to seem a mite pessimistic but: no we won't, Emery will leave in frustration, all the best players will be sold, the replacements will be terrible, the new manager will be hopeless and we'll be lucky to stay up next year.

Manure a win away, Chelsea a win and draw. Need Citeh to smash Liverpool tomorrow now with us turning into Forest from last season.

Premier League, no. Europa League, a good chance.

It's like 23/24 again, which I suppose you could say is cause for optimism

5th would do for me . Incoming Luiz , Bailey and Abraham barely paper over the McGinn , Tielemans and Kamara cracks.

Premier League, no. Europa League, a good chance.

Not even sure on that way tbh because we are still missing Kamara, Tielemans and McGinn for the RO16 and probably QFs as well.

Were still in a great position.   Having a bit of a wobble, but Im sure well sort something out.  Rub of the green not quite going for us at the second - but we still have the points on the board

We’re going through a rough patch - the teams below us aren’t going to storm along for the rest of the season. Not a great performance today, but we got a point, which is more than Liverpool got there. Could do with beating Brighton mid-week, we’ve just got to ride this period out.

Next 5, 10+ points we'll be fine, the more we're below that the more in the clag we'll be

Brighton H
Leeds H
Wolves A
Chelsea H
ManU A

Those Chelsea / Man Utd games look big.  If we could get 9 points before them then they could be an opportunity to all but secure it
