Feels like a big step towards it today. Probably one of only four matches in the second half of the season which we wouldn't go into as favourites, and three points coming back with us.

Would be lovely to get it sewn up nice and early, and it would then look like the battle between us / Chelsea / Newcastle for fourth and fifth last season will this year be between Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd.

Which will be fun.

The moment we doubt ourselves, Emery shows his mettle. Fantastic few days.

Even if we finish the season with a poor return of 20 points from the last 15, 3 clubs below us would to pretty much average 2 points a game from their 15 to push us to 6th.

We have the 3 B's next, Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton ......a great opportunity to pull away from the already distant pack 🙏

After our defeat at Arsenal we were nine points above 5th & 6th places in the PL.

Today we are still nine points above 5th place and ten points above 6th place.

We are still in good shape, despite the decimation in midfield.

Once we've wrapped up qualification Unai will turn to the title.

Precisely Lee. One objective at a time. CL qualification first, then wrap up the FA Cup, beat Man City to win the league and then a night out in Turkey to take home the Europa. Piece of piss.

Night out in Turkey, then beat Man City I believe.

If we're not still challenging for the title by then and both Man City and Arsenal are, it raises the amusing scenario of Arsenal supporters crying at us rolling over in Manchester because the players are all hung over from their post-final celebrations.

(assuming our own European adventures carry on of course)

Liverpool fans I know still talk about our capitulation there a few years back.
