Would be great to win at Newcastle. We owe them a beating up there.

Plus a 14 point gap between us and them would be nice.

I just noticed our goal difference is now better than everyone below us other than Chelsea.

Funnily enough, after last night's result we're now shorter odds for a top 4 (1/5 -> 2/13) or a top 5 finish (1/14 -> 1/20).

In the last 15 games combined for City, Villa, Liverpool, United and Chelsea there has been one win. Us against Forest. I think we're gonna be okay.

We won 1 out of 3 and are in a stronger CL position than before those 3, which is nice.

Yep, got the Emirates and Selhurst out the way and we're stronger. Take it. Feeling pretty relaxed about it to be honest.

I’d be disappointed now if we didn’t get CL. We are in a strong position.

Yeah the expectation is there now. Makes me nervous!

So it should be, we're third. It's streets behind the top two, unfortunately.

And if someone caught us up then our relative GD positions would alter in their favour. Ours is not good enough at all to count as an extra half point.

Forget the title, if we don’t get at least a couple of the midfield back, and bring in some actual options in attack there’s a real risk we slip away. Time to address clearly, but leaving ourselves so short of options in attack today was a mistake.

Sadly, I reckon injuries, and incompetence in the last few transfer windows, will do for us league wise. Hopefully, we just have enough to get us through to CL via the Europa.

We need a very good 10-12 days in the transfer market, and we have to stop bringing in disaster signings.

The Kamara injury (which isn't confirmed, but would be unlike the Athletic to run it if it wasn't) pretty much means any title aspirations are done - so now the focus has to be top 4 (maybe 5) and back in the Champions League next season.

8 points clear of 5th, and 9 points clear of 6th.  I'd happily take 4th place now.
