Some say that in football it's the hope that kills you, but when it comes to acquiring tickets for a cup competition, it's the stress that kills you. In their attempt to be fair and reasonable, Villa have made things so complicated - and when you finally work out when it's your turn you get all these mixed messages and tickets at 9am, then 9.30 and then coming soon, then in the basket, then out of the basket. It almost makes you hark back to the good old mid-table days with little to play for - oh hang on, maybe not. But things could be so much more straightforward. I spent a week waiting for the 11th April sale, then realised I hadn't been to any cup games and had to wait till 16th, despite having been a ST holder almost all my life. Got one in the Gods and then realised I could have hung on and got a much better one. Oh well. All part of the fun.

I reckon there's a good chance more tickets get released. The club haven't been very open about allocations so far though, wonder how many we've had?

This all sounds really random, speaking as someone who wasn't getting a ticket as only been to 2 games this season (I live in Yorkshire). Villa need to simplify things and just say all home games count towards criteria regardless of the competition. So something like first criteria, attended 20 or more home games, second criteria, 10 to 19 etc etc.
Yes they need to make it quite clear what's the criteria for FA tickets is in future, one of the reasons I didn't mind not going to some FA cups games is because it could give those who couldn't attend Villa Park because of price affordablty and unavailablty of ticket a chance to see Aston Villa play, but in future it seems that goodwill will have to be withdrawn
