I don't think it's strange at all in the context of the attitude of the club since we've made the Champions League.

The idea that existing season ticket holders are in effect blocking potential revenue streams and are under leveraged has been ringing out for some time now.

This move is fully in keeping with that, strip way any benefits the season ticket holder has and make them pay for them.

Seems that way, and the summer cashflow injection that ST holders give the club is less useful than the longer term money available from daytrippers.

Nope they’ve gone as well.
There’s a few in Q block if you’re quick.

Managed to get 2 but 20 rows apart.

First away ticket I've been able to buy directly from the club, since The Championship days.

It's season ticket holders who went to all 3 FA Cup games today, so it didn't get to members with 3 games, which makes the clubs stance even more bizarre.

Pissing off STH went you didn't need to just seems an odd move, and I can imagine what the dread must be for current STH to see what ideas they come up with next, all to try and get you not to renew, not that those tickets will go to the waiting list, more to the GA+ or members who have to pay more for their ticket, and might spend a bit of cash in the shop. and the tat they sell inside the ground.

I've been on the waiting list for a while, jumped about 100 places to 10,500 a couple of years ago but didn't get an update in the summer.

I am amazed that I managed to get a ticket - 1st away game since going to Valencia

Hopefully we can get the win and then we can have the semifinal to look forward to

Just means if we get to Wembley they'll try harder to get members in ahead of season ticket holders as I bet the club are furious it hasn't worked this time.

If as a season ticket holder I don't get a Wembley ticket if we get there then I'll never step foot in Villa Park again

The fact that it hasn’t gone to members in this round, has made me more worried that the criteria will be the same if we progress.
