There's probably a fair few without season tickets that did all 3 FA Cup games. 7k+ non ST holders were at each game.

Yeah, exactly

Removed. Reading it back it didn't sound the way it was meant to.

Just looking at allocations for the last few seasons and you normally get:

Semi Final 34,000
Final 30,000

So in both scenarios STHs are getting tickets.

Not necessarily, if people who have been to three cup games are given priority over season ticket holders, as they are for the Preston game. That was the cause of complaint.

Well as I don’t think that will happen for either the SF or F then I can’t see the problem. However I accept your point re the QF.

I could see what they were trying to do in respect of the QF but they missed out an STH with one cup game wave which would have solved the issue. It’s not getting past wave 3 anyway.

I can see it happening again. It sets a precedent and makes buying cup tickets and memberships more attractive.

I don’t think it’s a breach of any conditions. Season ticket holders who attend cup games get preference over members who have attended the same number of cup games.

There's no conditionality stated on ST priority over non ST holders.

ST holders who've attended the cup games getting priority over other ST holders who haven't is within the conditions & absolutely fine.

Members who've attended 3 cup games getting priority over ST holders (many of whom actually attended one or two of those cup games anyway), is not OK. It's moving the goalposts.

We have never previously been advised that we have to attend all home cup games to maintain our priority over non ST holders.

I haven't got a Season Ticket and went to 2 of the 3 FA Cup games. Imagine lots of people will have done all 3, as easier to get tickets for Cup games.

And cheaper. Which is why I reckon there will be a fair few. A family of 4 could do an FAC game cheaper than 1 adult for a CL game as non ST holders.

It's clear that the club are doing what they can to appease members, and thereby justifying them paying the fee each season.  I expect that STs are going to be told next year that buying cup tickets is mandatory, thus extinguishing one fire and starting another!

As a season ticket holder for many years who could not get to one out of three cup game for health reasons I am another proud recipient of Heckonomics with F All chance of a Preston ticket.

But that’s the plan, alienate season ticket holders so they give up and then sell the seats on a match by match basis at top price.

Great when we are doing well but when we have a poor couple of seasons the tourist fans disappear. By then the same will have happened with Heck.

Does anyone else think that this is the general plan?
I genuinely don't know what the intention is. Not just in relation to this match.
I would have thought that they would want to maximise the revenue from STHs and also retain a bedrock of income from them.
VP does not allow them to sell lots of premium seats because of its limitations and a new stadium would mean that they would want to carry over as much of the existing revenues as possible but under a different pricing model obviously.
So i am not sure that pissing of thousands of STHs is good business practice under the circumstances.

Even with the increase in season ticket prices, it works out at about £40 per game. We are charging around £70 for Forest tickets. Someone who only goes to one or two games is more likely to spend money in the club shop, too. That's why they want more daytrippers and fewer season ticket holders. I don't think Arsenal have added new season tickets for years.

I get that, but there is a point where it does not work.
Arsenal in London and all the London PL clubs have a huge advantage particularly the "well known ones"

The sale won't get down to the Members category, as they'll all be gone in the ST+3 games. Should we get that far, the Semi will have an allocation of 37k and the final 30k, so every season ticket holder should get a ticket, assuming they don't do something similar with the criteria. If they did use a similar criteria I think Heck would need to leave the country.

I don't doubt it is. Better to have non season ticket holders at B6 than ST holders as they'll be paying more and there's a very good chance they'll be buying all manner of tat on their day out.  As a ST holder of many years I have never been to the shop on a match day and can't remember what my last purchase was in the shop on a non match day which incidentally coincided with me picking up tickets for some game or other.  I can't ever see me making a special trip just to look in the Villa shop.

Pretty sure Liverpool cap seasons tickets at something like 28k and is widely considered to be because they make a lot more on match by match sales than a ST.
