Hopefully Heck and others at the club can get this one right again in terms of pricing etc. and it can be an occasion fitting for a big cup tie.

All Home cup games are priced at £25 at least that’s how I understood the original comms we were given after the CL ticket pricing farago.
My understanding was that only applied to the first home FA Cup tie. Any others are open to whatever is seen fit. We're looking at £50-70 here I think.

Considering they're going to get a 5th CL home game, I really think keep it cheap and keep us in the black kit.

I was about to indignantly pipe up with "not necessarily, we've still got a great chance of avoiding the play-off round and getting straight to the last sixteen".

But obviously that would then still be a fifth home game.

Spurs will sell out 6k regardless of price.

I' hope they keep it down to £30-£35 range (think Chelsea was that last season) and will readily get 40k+

So worst case scenario is we play Sunday because Spurs are playing Thursday. We're in CL playoff round and get drawn to play the following Tuesday. Neither the FA or UEFA budge because the games are already inked in for broadcast purposes.

I think they should swap their League Cup ties around to avoid the possibility. Newcastle play Thursday and at Blose on Sunday, Tottenham play on Wednesday and at Villa on Saturday. I'm assuming tickets aren't on sale yet for those League Cup games so hopefully some common sense gets applied, I may be asking too much...

For Europe, the draw is made and then the dates are sorted out to try to avoid clashes with domestic matches. So as FA Cup fixture will be known before the play-off draw, we will obviously state ours to be on the Wednesday to UEFA.

I suppose the Arse match could be moved being as they are not playing the weekend, but I suspect we will just be moved to Wednesday in the CL play-off if we don't auto-qualify.

I don't think UEFA give a shit about domestic fixtures.

BBC picking up on it now...

I wonder if we might get an announcement that the League Cup semis have been swapped around so that we can play on Saturday once Liverpool have secured a top eight CL spot so they have no chance of a Sunday/Tuesday issus.

I want Spurs to get the least of amount of nights sleep since their previous game as possible before they turn-up at Villa Park. Marginal gains and all that.

Liverpool and Spurs are selling tickets so it's unlikely it will be moved.

It'll have to be Sun 9 I would have thought with presumably any preliminary qualifying happening on Wed 12

Ita absolutely  crucial that we finish inntop 8 to avoid thos issue

No doubt in my mind if we have a play off game we will go weak against spurs and save our main players for play off game.

We wont need to do that of we have qualified alreafy for next phase of CL
