Seems a slightly odd choice of celebration match….one that thousands will skip or have been displaced for.  Would have thought a league game more appropriate.

Does feel a bit grubby that they are clearly using an anniversary celebration as a ticket selling thing rather than a celebration

Looks like they have made it the 150th Anniversary Match. (even though its in the 151st year)

At least it's a winnable game. For our Centenary Match we played a friendly against Don Revie's Brian Clough's Leeds Utd. We lost 2-1.

I see this a bribery and rate it close to the hospital beds appeal in the 90's.

Not pleased.

it's a f***ing disgrace. Friday night, non league game, low attendance expected, not a full strength team, on tv.  ALL FOR SCREWING THE LOYAL FANS AGAIN. Where will all the corporate fans and non loyal fans be when we are back in the championship? 61 years a supporter but seriously thinking of  giving up until Heck gets a better offer elsewhere, I'm sure he would jump ship if he was offered an extra dollar. Fuming.

Its a bit weird to tell the world you were formed in 1874 then hold a 150th anniversary celebration in 2025. Whenever the first recorded match was.

I expect no-one really knows, but wasn't our first match meant to be in March 1875?? Or has that subsequently been disproved?

150th anniversary of our first recorded match though.

Whilst this is true, we’ve got 3 other home games in January, including a Champions League game against Celtic. A Friday night reserve game seems like a weird way of celebrating.

Dreadful choice of day and competition. As Lucky Eddie says, bribery to try to fill the ground.

I hope we get a badge for the occasion. We haven't had a new one for ages.
