Tottenham vs Aston Villa pre-match thread
« on: October 31, 2024, 06:58:43 PM »
Sunday.

We're going to see a brilliant performance.

Honestly think it could be 3 or 4 to us.

I'll go 3-1 Villa.

Spurs will attack us which should suit us , if they double up on Rogers we really need Ramsey / Bailey to be on it . We obviously need to be more clinical too with our chances. UTV

Spurs get nearly all their points at home, will be tough to get anything here. Loss.

It's an opportunity to put a sizeable points gap between us. I think we'll get a result, provided we don't hand out any gifts & are more clinical in front of goal.

Looks like Van De Ven will be out for them and if that nutter Romero is back I predict a field day for us

I've been avoiding posting on pre-match threads while we remained unbeaten for stupid superstitious reasons. Now we've lost again, I'm back.

Fucked if I know what will happen. You're all welcome.

Live on Sky at 2pm which means Alan Smith on co-comms (is he really a villa fan can never work him out)

I assume he hates Spurs so he will be for this one.

I hate spurs i really do. They spanked us 4-0 at villa park. It would be great for once if we could not only win but absolutely humble them.

Tough game

Can't see it being a boring 0-0, hopefully 3-1 to us and last night's result quickly forgotten.

Very tough, they’re strong at home. It’s good Van Der Ven might be out.

We do owe them for the game at Villa Park where we were terrible.

1-3 to them has a certain ring about it. However, if it doesn’t take Ollie at least 5 chances before he actually scores, then who knows?

Would be disappointing to lose this.

Spurs were awful v Palace and picked up injuries last night (VDV, Werner). Interested what midfield they put out v us, think they'll be more conservative and bench Maddison.

Son probably back but he's only played one game in the last six weeks.

We've won 3 of our last 4 down there so will go for 2-2 which I believe would be their first home draw in any competition under Postacoglu.

McGinn and Ramsey are certs to start out wide. Only question I think is whether it's Kamara or Onana. Boubs may need another week before he starts in the prem but it wouldn't shock me as these type of matches are where he's excellent in the DM role.

Personally think Digne might struggle against Porro/Johnson down their right so wonder if Maatsen might continue at LB. Konsa on the other side and trust Carlos has his 9/10 game against these.

Unusual that ange said romaro was withdrawn second half as he was tired. Surely we got to use that to our advantage
