I purchased two hospitality tickets to Newcastle H next April. At the moment it is a Saturday 3pm kick off. I was wondering if this is likely to change and if/when we might find out? In the process of trying to arrange flights.

In short, you won't know for certain for ages. It sounds like one TV companies would be interested in, particularly if we're both there or thereabouts at the top.

No worries, thanks.

I know for hospitality you have to be prepared to attend any changed KO time and can’t get your money back.
The question is reallly whether it would work out cheaper/better to book flights to travel here on Thursday or Friday morning & return on Tuesday so you’ve covered all possible KO times, or to wait til 6 weeks before to narrow your travel time down

Don't suppose anyone here could recommend a decent hotel to stay in Birmingham for the Newcastle game? Have had bad experiences of staying in budget hotels in the past (I once stayed in the beautiful Norfolk)

Also looking for suggestions for good restaurants or museums?

There are some great hotels in the city centre, my favourites are the Grand on Colmore Row and Malmaison at the Mailbox, depending on your budget you should find something decent.

You really are spoilt for choice for restaurants, there’s so much choice. You can spend a small fortune or go cheap and cheerful, If you like a good curry then sample a Desi pub like the Hen & Chickens.

The BMAG website is a good source of information about the various museums

It won’t be open Match day , but an obvious one is Aston Hall( if you haven’t been already).

If you like Italian food , the owner of this place was Pavarotti’s personal chef back in the day. It’s behind the NIA on Sheepcote Street ( watch out for the bus lane only headed towards Broad street if driving).

I recently stayed at the Bloc Hotel in the Jewellery Quarter for the Chelsea game as I was up for the weekend watching both Villa and the Indoor Athletics. Caught train to Villa Park from New Street and walked back after the game to the hotel as Aston Station is so crowded. The Jewellery Quarter has plenty of great places to eat. There is a lovely Pizza place just across the street.
