Only ever saw 2 of them. But my dad told me about Stan the Wham and his penalty taking exploits.

It's interesting that John thinks that Gerry Hitchens staying would have halted the descent of the 1960s to such an extent that relegation in 1967 would have been avoided.

When I read the title I thought Unai had already announced the line-up for the next CL game.

I’d have Martinez in goal, and Blanchflower, Cummings, God and MacParland get in my all-time XI too. All world-class.

But didn't we need the money that his sale brought in?

I presume so especially as Tony Hateley was sold the season befor we went down. Both were a bit before my time though.

My son and I talked both of ours through in the pub before West Ham 1st game of this season.  Plus our all time rubbish 11's!!!  Was a great way to pass a couple of hours!

I only saw 2 of them that I can remember
Probably first went down in 65 but too young to remember names.
Interesting to maybe see one per decade
