I hope we are looking for a wide midfielder/forward with pace to give Bailey some competition. Even a Zaniolo type who can pop up with the odd match saving goal here and there.

Arda Guler on loan from Resl Madrid would do the trick.

Emery seems to be suggesting that Kosta can leave on loan in January. Given how long we were tracking him, it does seem a bit strange how far he has fallen out of favour.

He's only 18 isn't he?

Perhaps more a reflection that Emery has been reading Percy's posts and now relaises we already have a good right back. Better for him to go and learn rather than sitting on the bench. Don't loan him to some twats though, please.

Zaniolo was just as unreliable as our current wingers. Let's just get someone sick like that Baena fella.

The time he went on Celebrity Mastermind and chose the 'American Mafia' as his specialist subject was also a clue.

Wolves might take him

Indeed, and if he had come through our own academy, we'd probably all be excited to see him go on loan and show what he can do.  The fact that we paid money for him doesn't change the fact he's still a kid with a lot of learning to do.  If Unai doesn't think he's ready to contribute in our first team, then I'm all for seeing him go out and play for 6 months - hopefully at a decent level.

There is also the language barrier, so I hope if the club are loaning him out here in the UK, they're making sure he's ready on a personal level, regardless of his football readiness.

If we're looking for a young winger Nusa who's starting for Leipzig tonight is supposed to be one of the best youngsters in Europe.

Yup, supposed to be pretty special.

If Norway could cobble together a defence, then Haaland - Odegaard - Sorloth - Bobb - Nusa is potentially a front five to rival any in the world.

As it is, they've still got Nyland in goal.

I think the kid has great potential and should be regarded as a definite first teamer. Let's not waste any loan deal but put him at a serious club that will give him proper minutes and experience.

Part of a defence that was probably worse than ours tonight. They were a bit of a rabble I thought, some very talented players but disorganised.

I thought he was the worst player on the pitch, Watkins and McGinn were over him like a rash in the first half and Rogers and Duran made him look like an oaf a few times as well. In his defence though he's clearly not a centre back but I don't think they had many other options.

Nusa and Openda (who is fucking quick) were their 2 best players by a long way, Sesko, as he did in the euros, looked very average.
