I’m not sure anyone is particularly disgruntled with how the season is going though are they? This is really about the game today.

Season so far: lovely stuff.
Today's game: not particularly impressive.

Today's point would look a lot rosier if we hadn't dropped 2 silly points last weekend . Given the heroics of Wednesday today was understandably tired , last Sunday is the issue that was a very poor complacent performance which put us on the back foot somewhat. That said, the season is young, we have a manager who will sort it and players coming back . Relax .

Cash, Digne and Watkins were all particularly shite.
Digne played well.Ollie better 2nd half was totally isolated 1st half, no service whatsoever

Totally agree with this. We were 5 first team squad players light today and lost another less than a quarter into the match. I’m hoping everyone is fit after the break or soon after, then with a full depth squad we can assess how far we can go this season.

The last 2 league games indicate we don’t have quite enough to challenge the top 3  and cope with injuries and the demands of playing every 3 days.
Watkins had one of his could not hit a cows arse with a banjo days, he had enough chances to win the game today.
This feels like a transitional season where we learn to cope with the demands of multiple games, our younger players get nearer their potential and we fill in the gaps in the squad.

Jesus, that was an awful game of footie.

Last 20, they were practically begging us to put them out of their misery.

One to put down to experience - and at least we didn’t lose.

Main thing right now (when our form is indifferent) is to stay in the hunt, bring back the injured and avoid further casualties.

I can't recall Ollie having any chances other than the speculative shot he took on which barely registered as one.

I think that just about sums it up. Drab 0-0, clean sheet, lacked a final ball, take the point, move on.

Most positive thing I can say about today is we've had worse post Europe hangovers.

We have a very good squad but when you get five or six injuries it's going to weaken any side.
Right to the end I thought they would sneak a goal as they often do so relieved at the final whistle. Bailey for me has become a big problem, not sure what it is but we all know he is capable of so much more, without his attacking input we become very narrow, we need pace down both wings.

There were a few frustrating moments; a couple of poor decisions by Rogers, a snatched effort from Philogene, referee not doing his job, and Konsa's injury.

It wasn't a spectacle but after Wednesday I'm.not sure much would have been.

It's another draw, which means we haven't lost, and that really is key. We look like a solid, hard to beat team.

I just wish we could grind these fuckers into the dirt again.

Important break now, and hopefully we will have a few back soon. Mings, Kamara, Buendia, Konsa, Cash, Bailey, Onana, Ramsey will all hopefully not be long now. I know a couple of them have played but they don't seem fully fit to me.

Having just watched us on MOTD it seemed to be attack after attack by Villa, and a few shots in there, as well. The finishing wasn’t there, today and the commentator noted Villa looking a bit tired after the brilliant performance midweek. Shame about the injuries and I hope Konsa and Bailey bounce back with everyone else.

Thought Bailey was just coming into the game before he was subbed. Offering balance and an outlet and his confidence seemed to increase.

Sometimes Unai seems determined to make subs at certain times.

In hindsight Duran for Watkins might have been the better sub.
