Ratcliffe is spending one of his tax haven days to come and watch us Sunday apparently.

He'll get on famously with Heck.

I always like to think that in the three biggest games we've ever played against them, we've won, ie the 1957 FA Cup Final, the 1970 League Cup Semi Final, and the 1994 League Cup Final. Even in 1992/93, when we went head to head with them for the title and eventually came second, we took 4 points from them.

Not sure how the 1994 League Cup Final and 1970 semi are bigger than the 2010 final.

1970, we were in the old third division, they had Best, Law and Charlton, 62,500 inside Villa Park, two days before Christmas Day.

Sure. But a semi-final isn't bigger than a final. Assuming all other results stayed the same, I'd swap the semi-final wins in 1963, 1970, 2000, 2010 and 2015 to win our most recent final in 2020.

Instead of them trying to poach our manager we should be poaching their better  players like mainoo. Sums up where both clubs are

Rat face will assist/cheat in a jammy win for Newton Heath. Then, they'll get twatted by Brentford after the international break.

I would usually share your pessimism, but I have a feeling we are going to absolutely batter them on Sunday.  I think this because this is the first game in ages I won't be able to watch.  Oh, and we are ace and they are shite.

I thought that last season but we lost both. Unais record against ten hag is very poor. W1 L 4

Something i am sure he wants to put right

I'm still scarred by Boxing Day. We're just not meant to beat this lot.

Martinez

Digne
Pau
Carlos
Konsa

Morgan
Onana
Barkley
Philogene

Tielemans
Watkins

Feels like a midfield three of Onana, Barkley and Tielemans should be able to boss whatever mish-mash they have in midfield these days.

Hopefully Onana is fit for this one, as no doubt Casemiro, Mainoo and Eriksen will, for one day only, turn into prime Keane, Viera and Modric.

At least we haven't got Varane giving one of his two world class performances a season.

I'd like a nice controlled performance please, a goal early in each half* before the dodgiest of all penalties* and that cheating rat being sent off for Man U.

*Dear footballing gods - for us, obviously.

In a continuation of the lack of logic....

Please let them score first.  I'll get twitchy if we go 1 or 2 up against this lot!

Just win: I dislike this lot so much! And, prove that we can come off a high-profile European game and still perform in the league.

We won 2-0 at Arsenal last season after going to extra time and pens in the conference league on the Thursday before.
