Just listened to the phone call to TalkSport from Phil the Villa fan, who missed his Daughters wedding to be at the game last night - very funny and he obviously made the right decision.

Just got up, I can’t believe we beat the 12 players of Bayern.

The officials are no better than the premier league.

Completely bottled the first foul on Ollie as he knew if it was a free-kick it had to be a red card.

Just watched the replay. It looked a clear foul live and even more so having seen it again. Ollie is goal side and away. The defender clips his legs as he’s holding on to him. Clearly exactly what VAR is meant for.

Quiet morning at work, thought I'll have a nose at a few forums from last night, most of were right behind us but I found a significant number of bitter comments from both Man City and Liverpool, with the former bemoaning how much the commentary were getting behind us but don't with them and how much noise we were making, larf.

To be fair, I'm not sure we're much better.

Seem to remember our Other Games thread when Newcastle were playing PSG wasn't exactly cheering Newcastle along to victory.

I don't care about reaction from other fans, in fact I love it if they hate us. I have waited a long time to be hated.

Hard to tell in the ground - it felt very loud at some points - always interesting to find out what is sounded like on TV.

What was that weird chant a few years ago that was in vogue..."I don't care about X team, X team don't care about me, all I care about is AVFC" or something naff like that?!

West Ham fans continue to take the fact that they didn't offer enough for Duran, really well!

Oh I know that and all the boards varied but there seemed a really noticeable edge to those two in particular.

Might be in a minority, but I pretty much only dislike Newcastle for the ownership. Other than that, I'd have been perfectly happy cheering them against that vacuum-packed propaganda thing.

Noisy as hell on radio. Sounded like Inter Milan games

What a night, after the Ipswich game, I was concerned that we might get well beaten. The defence was my main concern, as it turned out Emi put in a world class performance, Pau and Diego made Kane look totally ineffective plus Ezri and Lucas superb. As for big Jhon, already has his place in our history, as our gest ever sub, beating a world class goalie, with a world class goal, the bloke never ceases to amaze me.

As for Upamecano, the ref clearly bottled it, he should have gone, but in the end I'm glad he didn't, as I'm even happier to have beat them with 11 still on the pitch.

Watching the game rerun this morning whilst we kept a constant level of ding going the Bayerische were very loud at times.
