On the Rangers forum they reckon the ref's been so one-sided that he must be a Bayern STH. Not just us that think he's been awful.

Yeah but to balance it up what do the Irish lads on the Celtic forum think?

We've struggled to keep the ball at times, but done OK on the whole.  They've struggled a bit when we've got the ball into their box, so hopefully we can do it a few more times in the second half.

Sack the referee

Sorry to all our lovely referees on here, but he’s not doing terribly well.

Ref has been shite and really hoping he won't cost us as the game goes on. Good performance and well done to Carlos and Jaden who've been taken pelters lately. They and the others need to keep it up. Ollie's been a menace. I'm not sure they can handle him or Rogers.

There've been spells where we're giving Kimmich too much time on the ball. They do look susceptible when we press, a little too overconfident on the ball. But if they give us something we need to take our opportunities. We're also gonna have to stay on our feet as much as possible rather than trying to draw and play for fouls because the ref isn't giving much. Particularly to us.

What was it that the ref, lines man, VAR didn’t see about that rugby tackle?  It’s a pretty scandalous non decision.  Pretty shocking.

Jaden doing a lot of good things.
He looks really comfortable and has been a thorn in their side this half. If LB can bring the same game in the second half then we could pose a serious threat

That’s an astonishingly poor decision not to book Kane. If you give the foul it’s an absolute nailed on booking.

We’ve done alright, but I worry about us it goes on. It’s tiring playing like this. Bailey isn’t at the races, and is Onana injured as well?

Onana was struggling for the last ten minutes, would get Barkley on as we can't have passengers in the midfield area.

That's a good half against a very good side.  Obviously they knock it around really well, but we've clearly been set up to let them have it in non-dangerous places to avoid them playing around us in transition.

There will be more chances in this game, for both sides, but there is no reason we can't take one of them.  Ollie is giving that centre-back the run-around, and all he needs is one good ball in behind.  Bit worried about Onana, he looked to holding his hamstring for the last 10 mins of that half, so I suspect he won't be back out after half-time unless the physios can work a miracle?  He's important if we're going to be under the cosh for periods.
