I'm going for a 2-1 Villa win.

I'd play Onana and Barkley central with Tielemans and Bailey making the 'box' shape rather than wingers per se (though obvs Bailey will play more like a winger no matter what you tell him).

You would drop our most expensive player who has scored 3 in 8 games so far?
Same team as yesterday but i would try either Bogarde or Ned at RB just so Konsa can keep tabs on Cheaty Kane.

I would forsake a narrow loss to these with a win on Sunday 100 times out of 100

Agree, and agree, but hope we can get a draw. Would put Ned in at RB and move Konsa to the centre.

Can we avoid any talk of decisions going against us such as Thomas Muller has a goal disallowed, then it's given after being played onside by a Konsa toenail.
In short, don't mention the var.

Play Konsa at RB and we lose.
Play him a CB and we win.
It’s a simple game.

Yeah really simple. That's the message to take from our most successful manager in decades. Football's simple. Easy. Piece of piss. Involves no complexity at all.

We're going to win this.  It'll be one of those rare freak stats in football, the only team to have a 100% record against Bayern Munich or something.

I see that there is a new artwork for 1982 outside the ground. Does anyone think we are honouring it too much? Apparently there is going to be something before the game as well. Other fans accuse us of milking this one trophy for all it's worth and I have to say I think they're right.

Hopefully that will end when we win number 2 in May. Or June or whenever the fuck the final is.

A draw would be a ridiculously good result for us

No. We're at home. A draw isn't a ridiculouy good result against anyone with the exception of needing it to guarantee a trophy win or something similar.

We should be hopeful of beating anyone at home. That's our level now. We aren't Lambert era Villa. Time to change the mentality.
