I get that we have hit the heights of the best games of last season, Brighton, West Ham, Arsenal, Man City at home etc, i know we havent played well in 2 or 3 of the games for parts of the games, but if if 6 wins and a draw out of 8 games isnt form, im not sure what is.

Those are the facts. The reality is that we’re a bit hit and miss in most games. The Young Boys game apart we always look as though we’ll leak goals. Maybe, collectively we’ll relish the challenge and put in a night to remember. That’s my hope.

It's not a winner takes all game though. A draw would be great . We need one eye on Sunday . will watch near our Glasgow office with some Celtic mates for this one . UTV

I think its more the level of opposition.  Yes you can beat who is in front of you but we haven't really beaten anyone with ease and the concern is when we play the better sides. This is going to be a real test. If we defend as badly as we have been its going to be a blood bath vs munich

It might not be the most important match in footballing terms but it's certainly our most high profile, why even 5Live were salivating at the prospect as early as last week. Of course they couldn't be arsed mentioning our result in this morning's bulletin but there you go.

We looked iffy yesterday, as we did for much of the Wolves game so confidence may not be that high around the place but come Wednesday that will all change. On this fabulous ride with Emery, this match feels like a landmark, what sort of landmark I'm not sure but fortune favours the optimistic so I'm plumping for a night that we will be talking about in the Memories section of this site in years to come. We'd better had as well, I've paid 70 fucking quid.

I assume Kane will play and see an entertaining just fall short 2-3.

Neither side are great defensively so see a lot of chances created.

Is there any chance Cash could be back for this one?

Back in the squad maybe but Emery rarely drops a player coming back from injury into the starting team. If we have to go with Konsa again at RB then we have to at least start with Maatsen on the other side to give us some bit of zip on at least one wing.

It could be the night Emery goes with a back 5 with the two young lads as wing backs. McGinn is injured and the rest of our wide options in midfield and up front are not in the best form. Narrow midfield three could bring Barkley into the team or else Ramsey breaking from midfield and keeping Kimmich honest.

How would you have felt if they had mentioned our drab draw with Ipswich Town?

I'd go:

Emi

Kosta Konsa Torres Digne

Bailey Tielemans Barkley Ramsey

Watkins Rogers

‘Meanwhile at Portman Road near the home of former serial killer Steve Wright Villa and Ipswich fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw which sees the home side go four games unbeaten and Villa missing the chance to go 2nd.’

I'd go for something like

                Martinez
Nedeljkovic Konsa Torres Digne
       Onana Barkley Tielemans
                Rogers Ramsey
                    Watkins

And bring Bailey, Duran, Maatsen on later.

That’s the side I would play and the best way to get back to the balance and style we played last season!

You would drop our most expensive player who has scored 3 in 8 games so far?
He was not great on Sunday - but that could be said about a good few.

Same team as yesterday but i would try either Bogarde or Ned at RB just so Konsa can keep tabs on Cheaty Kane.

Considering he has pace and a decent passing range - why have they never tried Carlos at RB?

I would forsake a narrow loss to these with a win on Sunday 100 times out of 100
