Can anyone say why the Ipswich manager is apparently so highly regarded.
It’s not like he is the first British manager to take a bumpkin team from the east of the country to the PL.
Remember Lambert.

This Ipswich game is all well and good but we need talk about Bayern. Will there be an 'early' thread like we did for Young Boys of Berne.
I'm ultra excited about Bayern Munich match.

No, we don't talk about Bayern until after Ipswich because injuries, mood etc. can change. One game at at a time is good enough for Unai, it should be good enough for us.

Yet since asking for request of Bayern Munich  I read people talk about being affiliated with Stealing, Drugs and Sexual encounters!!

What's wrong with sexual encounters?

or drugs

Well it's a pre match thread for a start.
And all this other chat is a bit wild to say the least!

Right. He's had an interesting managerial career.
So this could be termed a Paul Lambert derby!
Lambert had major success once as a player when he won the Champions League.
Speaking of Champions League -Villa Bayern Munich thread is the Alan McInally derby!

I was wondering as it's 5 days from half time Villa V Bayern if ever do half time predictions?
Not worth a new thread but could include half time score predictions as well as full time.
So predicting a  win v Ipswich.
I'll say 1-0 half time and 3-0 full time.

I've been wondering what the score will be after 15 minutes against West ham next season. New thread?

Went to the cup game in 81 when a bloke I vaguely knew from school lent me the money because he had no-one to go with. We’re still good mates to this day.

And at least one more time when a geezer called Killer from Castle Vale ‘borrowed’ a lorry from his work to take about 15 of us in the back. We kept it at the bloke from the paragraph above’s house on the Friday night, and he drove it over to Killer’s house on Saturday morning, and had two accidents in the first mile of the journey. (My mate had never driven a lorry before, and hadn’t even passed his driving test). Killer was caught on CCTV taking the lorry from his workplace and got the sack on the Monday morning.

There may have been other visits that I’ve forgotten.
And I bet we lost......

Can’t remember. It wasn’t in such an historic season as my first visit.

Is Killer still alive?

Not sure. I’d say I’ve seen him ‘fairly’ recently, but it could have been five or ten years ago.
