What was Shawsy's record like against these fvckers?

No.

That was how Sir Dennis referred to him. And that's good enough for me

That's what everyone called him.

Didn't realise Wolves were playing tonight. That's not so bad for us. We've a day extra rest over them. And they're playing Brighton, who are probably better then Young Boys. No idea what the lineups are like though.

Gary O'Neil is quite a despicable manager and his spoiling tactics will come into play here.
Still a comfortable 2-0 win without some controversy hopefully but they'll be set up to be physical so have to keep our own discipline.

If we only get points from the games we’re bookies favourites in, we will go down.

It’s a weak, pathetic excuse.

Yes, our fixtures are hard but he will line up with a side on Saturday that will have cost over £175m and have 3x Brazilian internationals, Portuguese international. In fact everyone will have played for their country except Dawson and Bellegarde.

If Villa keep the same team, we will have more full international players on the pitch than them.

Genuinely now, our XI isn’t that far off them. It really isn’t.

But we will lose because Emery is on a different planet as a manager. If the two in the dugout swapped I would fancy our chances big time.

Ahahahahahahahhahaaaaaah.

Someone should point out to them that the world has moved on. And averaging £15m a player doesn't buy you very much in the Premier League.

Not keeping up with the times is something of a weakness for them all round.

You do see quite a bit of those sort of claims over there still, like "If they didn't have a better keeper, striker and manager than us there would be nothing between the teams etc", when the reality is the quality of our squads have been heading in different directions for a good few years now.

The Are Villa's owners more ambitious than ours? thread on MM seems to have died a death.

Their current league run is W1 D3 L11. The win was against Luton.

They'll still play like 1960 Real Madrid on Saturday. The Brentford of the Midlands.

More hot takes from Molineux Mix..

I think Cunha is better than Watkins.

(Martinez had a ) Purple patch 2 seasons ago but nothing great since then

Quote
Cunha is the best player in both sides - but he is a number 10, not a striker
